Paul's Perspective........

Lots of times it’s hard to decide whether to upgrade, repair, make do or just invest in something new.

When I analyze Fronhofer Tool and try to decide if it’s time to make costly changes or simple repairs, I think of it in its simplest form. Actually, each aspect of the company whether it be equipment, buildings, vehicles, tooling etc. is like a garden hose. Water, being the energy you put in one end and water, being the product you get out the other. The garden hose and the source of the water could probably be upgraded at any time increasing the product. But in many cases, new hoses and a more efficient source cost money. Repairs however, cost less but in most cases, don’t increase the efficiency as much. There is always the option of not doing any repairs or investments and let the hose leak and rot away. You probably will have water for a while but not forever. In some cases and in some businesses, this might be just fine. Every time I’m confronted with a math problem that’s daunting, like everyone else I use a similar problem that’s easier to understand. My “leaky hose theory” (that’s what I like to call it) is the same thing.

Who's Who at Fronhofer Tool........

Scott Ballentine has been with us for over seven years, throughout this time he has proven himself to be a true constant to the Fronhofer Tool team.

Scott has maintained an impressive attendance record while always having a good and friendly attitude. He works overtime whenever asked even if it’s with little to no notice. Scott is a machinist dedicated to being a good worker and committed to becoming better. Unlike many machinist who are classified as a “CNC” or as a “conventional” machinist, Scott is capable as either.

In his spare time Scott puts his artistic talent to work with projects involving airbrush painting and glass etching. He has custom painted shirts, helmets, canvas, slate, vehicles...you name it and he’ll paint it. Outside of this he enjoys bowling and bicycle riding and Scott loves his music and going to concerts… so long as it’s not country.
